2012 ATP Atlanta Qualifying Preview

ATP Atlanta Qualies Preview

The qualies draw for ATP Atlanta (http://www.atpworldtour.com/posting/2012/6116/qs.pdf) was posted late last night. Here is a quick preview.

Top 8 seeds are Belgian Ruben Bemelmans, who has had some good recent results, formerly promising junior Ricardas Berankis (who I still call Richard), Sergei Bubka, Brazilian Ricardo Mello, South African Rik DeVoest, the Tally Challenger champ Tim Smyczek, American vet Alex Kuznetsov, and Brazilian Ricardo Hocevar.

Czech doubles specialist Lukas Dlouhy gets a singles qualifying wild card, as does local veteran Erik Graves, Eric Sock (Jack Sock’s brother), and Georgia Tech standout Kevin King. 4 qualifiers will earn a spot in the main draw and I’ll be live to cover it all starting at 9 A.M. sharp. If you enjoy your tennis live-tweeted, follow me @nolesfan2011. I’ll have a wrap up post on day 1 of qualifying this evening and the main draw also comes out tomorrow evening. I will have a preview of that as well.

  1. I thought Bradley Cox was no longer playing as a pro… Isn’t he working for a company in ATL now?
